Our team consists of more than 230 employees in 2 production sites in Belgium and several hubs abroad.  

Meyvaert Museum is a pioneer and market leader in high-quality solutions for museum showcases. For decades, we have offered our customers worldwide a wide range of museum display cases, ranging from modular and custom-made display cases to the interior design of exhibition spaces. In order to grow further, we are looking for a M/F/X at Meyvaert Museum in Ghent for the role of Product Developer.

Responsibilities

After internal product training, you will help manage diverse projects technically. As a Junior Product developer, your focus will be on:

Concept Design (under the guidance of our experienced seniors)

Translating customer requirements into buildable display concepts

  • Creating 3D concept drawings 
  • Delivering attractive customer concept drawings

Detail Design (under the guidance of our experienced seniors)

  • Development of museum display cases with an eye for aesthetics, safety and preservation of the art objects to be displayed
  • Choice of materials and finishes
  • Processing of internal components, lighting and other details
  • Creation of detailed 3D customer drawings (pdf) 
  • Elaboration of series/vitrine typologies

Internal transfer using various tools

  • Converting detailed 3D model into a BOM (bill of materials) with 2D production drawings and BOM lists according to internal processes and guidelines
  • Transfer of plans and BOM lists to the purchasing and production team
  • Technical support of colleagues in purchasing, production and installation
  • Drafting user and installation manuals 

Your profile

  • You fully recognise yourself in our core values: passionately committed, solution-driven, team, care
  • Bachelor or Master degree, ideally in Industrial design/ Product development 
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD & PLM (NX/ Teamcenter or equivalent)
  • Good balance of technical, practical and aesthetic skills
  • Methodology, efficiency and focus are your core qualities
  • Attention to detail, quality and finish
  • Good English language skills, Dutch and/or French knowledge is a plus
