Museo Arqueológico de Almería

Recessed wall cases

The museum and the collection

Architects Ángela García Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa designed the makeover of the museum's location. The result is a building in contemporary style which opened in 2006. Inside, the spaces are impressively arranged to combine light, contrasting heights and attractive woodwork. The central space of the hall and double stairs give structure to the approach adopted in the architecture and museography, helping visitors to move freely on various themed tours.

The assignment

For this project we developed, manufactured and installed 33 showcases including recessed wall cases, table cases and freestanding units. We equipped the cases with climate control and fiber optic lighting.
